I hate when people say money doesn’t buy you happiness. it does. it buys you financial stability, a nice house, nice cars, nice vacations and trips, healthier food, a better education, etc. like wearing burberry while driving around in an audi would probably make me pretty happy too. but it’s just that rich people often take their comfortable lives for granted and end up being spoiled and ungrateful for what they have

Exactly.

"And I found a good one, a really good guy but when you’re stuck in a negative mind state you feel like happiness is a lie and you wait for someone to do you wrong, cause you’ve never been done right."

"Don’t think too high of anyone. A person is a person. No matter how perfect they may appear, none are flawless on this earth. Don’t think someone can understand you more than you understand yourself. Don’t seek completeness through a soulmate or a friend. No one can possibly bring you happiness. When we expect someone to fill us with joy, we tend to get disappointed as they fill us with sadness. Sometimes our imagination plays tricks on us by creating the perfect picture of that particular person; when in reality that person may not care about you at all. A best friend might not realize that you’re getting uncomfortable in the friendship; or that you don’t like what they’re doing. A boyfriend/girlfriend may not be your soulmate yet you still put effort into the relationship. Life can get so confusing and complicated so we seek comfort through other human beings. The biggest mistake is to do so."

Aftermath of a Code Crimson at my hospital the other night. My friend works in the ER and took this photo and sent me the following:
“Car rolled three times, became on fire. Transported to us for intubation then supposed to be transferred to [higher acuity hospital omitted for HIPPA reasons] but then she coded. She was a mess. Blood everywhere. Bones sticking out of the skin. Adipose tissue out. Depressed frontal skull fracture. Mid forties. She died.”
The aftermath of a life not saved.
